Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

What is TossMarket?

TossMarket is a prediction market platform where you can trade on the outcome of future events. Markets are built around yes/no questions, and prices reflect the market view of each outcome.

How do I start trading?

Connect a supported browser wallet, deposit funds on-chain into your TossMarket balance, then choose a market and place a YES or NO order.

What wallet do I need?

The current UI supports Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, and a browser-injected Solana wallet fallback.

Trading

How does pricing work?

Prices range from $0.01 to $1.00 per share. The price represents the market probability of the outcome. For example, if YES shares cost $0.67, the market believes there's a 67% chance the event will occur.

What are fees?

Current default fees are 1% for maker liquidity and 2% for taker liquidity. The live trading flow does not yet require separate on-chain gas confirmations.

Can I sell my shares before the market closes?

Yes. You can now sell from the market detail page or close from your portfolio before the market closes. Under the hood the platform still nets exposure through paired positions, but the main app now exposes a native sell flow.

Markets

How are markets resolved?

Markets can be resolved by administrators, oracle-backed proposals, and dispute review workflows. Oracle reports and proposal cooldown windows are visible in the current build.

What happens if a market is invalid?

If a market is determined to be invalid, all shares are refunded at their purchase price.

Can I create my own market?

Yes. Signed-in users can now submit proposed markets from the main app, and administrators review them before approval or rejection.

Account & Security

Is my money safe?

Wallet sign-in and deposit/withdrawal transfers are live on Solana. Orderbook reads, trading balances, locking, and market settlement are still mirrored in the application ledger until the full on-chain execution path ships.

How do I withdraw my funds?

Use the wallet menu to submit a withdrawal from your TossMarket balance. TossMarket sends the transfer on-chain to your connected wallet and confirms the receipt before the withdrawal is marked complete.

What if I lose my wallet?

Your wallet is still your current sign-in method. If you lose access, the current build does not provide a self-service recovery flow, so account recovery would require manual support or admin intervention.
